KCM Trade had the great privilege of paying a visit to the Thien Than orphanage in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Our team and the Chief Market Analyst Tim Waterer all enjoyed the opportunity to travel to the orphanage which is located in the city's outer districts. Here, our team met with many of the wonderful children at the facility and the caring staff who look after these abandoned children.
The Thien Than orphanage, which means ‘House of Angels,’ was founded and is operated by local businessperson Bui Cong Hiep. The facility at Thien Than houses more than 100 children currently. The orphanage relies upon donations from the community, and here at KCM Trade we were delighted to be able to contribute to such a wonderful cause.
In addition to donating cash and food during our visit to the Thien Than orphanage, the KCM Trade representatives were also delighted to present the children with mooncake as part of the Mid-Autumn festival.
As our staff toured the facility and met with the carers and the children themselves, it was so pleasing to see that the kids were in great spirits. During this memorable visit, our Chief Market Analyst Tim Waterer commented - “Despite the sad circumstances which lead to the children being abandoned in the first instance, it’s very encouraging to see that they are in great care here and have good prospects for their futures.”
As a global financial services provider, KCM Trade is deeply committed to our corporate social responsibility. We would like to thank the Thien Than orphanage for all the wonderful work they are doing to care for so many children. We appreciated the invitation to visit the orphanage, and our KCM Trade team were honoured to meet with the many special children and staff working at Thien Than.
