September 30, 2025

Advancing Corporate Social Responsibility and Promoting Trading Knowledge

In August 2025, KCM Trade Plus once again partnered with prestigious student societies and Chinese–Australian youth organisations in Melbourne to host its “Trading 101” educational series. The two-day seminar, held at the University of Melbourne and Monash University, focused on structured teaching and simulated trading competitions. The initiative aims to help students build sound and rational trading concepts while reinforcing KCM Trade Plus’s commitment to corporate social responsibility (CSR).

Key Themes and Highlights

  • Structured Foundational Learning: Covering core topics such as “Fundamentals of Trading and Wealth Management,” “Major Asset Classes,” and “The Impact of Global Events (e.g. trade tensions) on Markets,” the sessions provided a progressive knowledge framework to strengthen students’ risk awareness and market understanding.
  • Practical Learning Pathway: Connecting classroom learning with post-session application, the programme featured a risk-free simulated trading competition with prizes totalling more than USD 1,000, encouraging participants to apply strategies and review performance.

The event featured a distinguished lineup of industry experts. Jason Lau, Managing Director of KCM Trade Plus, hosted and delivered the keynote sessions. With over 15 years’ experience in banking and trading across Asia-Pacific and Australia, he specialises in data-driven market analysis. Guest speakers included Will Nguyen, Senior Marketing Communications Consultant at BP plc, who shared insights on consumer behaviour and commodity marketing; and Wade Ho, Co-Founder of Trio Lawyers, whose investment banking and legal backgroundin IPOs and cross-border M&A enabled him to guide students through trading practices from a regulatory and compliance perspective.

Brand and Social Responsibility

KCM Trade Plus remains committed to its principle of “Compliance First, Education as the Foundation.” Through university collaborations, the company actively promotes financial literacy and rational trading awareness. By blending theory with practice, the programme strengthens students’ market readiness, encourages industry–academia integration, and fosters cross-regional collaboration. It also demonstrates the firm’s dedication to fulfilling its educational responsibilities as a wealth management institution.

Jason Lau, Managing Director of KCM Trade Plus, stated that the company will continue to deepen partnerships with universities and professional societies across key global markets. By regularly organising diverse investor education initiatives and thematic seminars, and refining “course + competition + practice” model, KCM Trade Plus aims to further enhance the brand’s professionalism and international influence, while providing young people with valuable knowledge and resources.
