The 10th Stop Successfully Hosted at a Leading Australian University
As a global financial service provider, KCM Trade is committed to promoting financial literacy through educational initiatives worldwide. In May, the “Trading 101” seminar held at Monash University, Australia, marked the tenth seminar of KCM Trade’s 2025 Global Education Tour. The event aimed to equip students preparing to enter the workforce with a deeper understanding of the financial markets and trading industry, while also providing practical support and guidance for their career planning.
Knowledge Meets Application: Exploring Future Pathways
The seminar was co-hosted by KCM Trade Plus, the Australia-China Youth Association (ACYA) and the Hong Kong Student Association (HKSA) at Monash University. It covered essential topics such as an overview of key asset classes and the tangible impact of global events (such as trade wars) on financial markets.
In addition to covering trading fundamentals, the event featured a special guest speaker—Scott Wright, Commercial Director at Immediate and an expert in brand strategy and alternative investments. Wright shared his practical experience in fields such as wine trading, aiming to broaden students’ horizons by bridging classroom learning with real-world applications, thereby unlocking more career possibilities.
Another keynote speaker, Jason Lau, Managing Director of KCM Trade Plus, noted: “Education plays a vital role in enhancing the decision-making abilities of financial market participants. Through these mflectures, we help students transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills, identify their values and interests, and clarify their strengths— ultimately guiding them towards suitable career paths.”
